BYOD: Facilitating for Today’s Mobile-enhanced Audiences
Whether you plan for, design or deliver training – this session is for you!
Any time you’re in a meeting, class, or at a conference and look around the room you’re likely to see a number of people seemingly paying more attention to their mobile devices than to the topic at hand.
Those devices are not going away. Our challenge is keeping our face-to-face audiences engaged while competing with myriad mobile devices. The solution to this challenge is to leverage the devices themselves.
In this session you’ll learn a number of ways that they can be used to enhance face-to-face learning experiences.
We’ll explore techniques to keep learners engaged using gamification, social media, and more. We’ll discuss and share a number of activities that enhance learning using the devices learners are bringing into the workshops anyway.
Bring your phone and learn first-hand how to:
• Focus participants’ attention on your materials using their mobile devices
• Incorporate participants’ mobile devices into your events
• Create activities that enhance your events while engaging your participants with their mobile devices
• Evaluate the effectiveness of using mobile devices in your activities
