Harassment Prevention Training at the Crossroads: New Directions for an Age Old Problem
In what may be the biggest acknowledgement of ineffective training dollars ever spent, a prestigious EEOC task force, June 20, 2016, announced that 30 years of harassment prevention efforts have failed to turn the tide on workplace harassment. Stating that they are “deeply troubled,” the EEOC has called for a re-boot of the training methods used to address workplace harassment.
Darrin Coon, SPHR, founded Coon HR Consulting to develop innovative training methods that effectively address practical workplace needs. An experienced workplace investigator, Darrin is partnering with Dr. Kara Jolliff Gould, Consulting Researcher, who has a background in media law. Their goal for this project is to advance novel approaches to anti-harassment training that actually work.
